Christopher Moklebust Blue Lambency Downward is, by far, one of my favorite albums of all time. From the first few opening notes to the last closing cords, this work is truly a masterpiece of modern art. It saddens me when I hear fans of Kayo Dot talk down this album - and I hope it hasn't discouraged them from delving any deeper into the many realms of jazz. Also, these have to be some of the best demo tapes in the history of demo tapes. Favorite track: Symetrical Arizona.

halfwayridiculed In equal parts atmospheric, technical and compositionally proficient, this record is unique in my collection for its strange melding of avant-garde classical and progressive rock. A must for any serious music fan. Favorite track: The Awkward Wind Wheel.
