brineryte In no small way, this album changed my life. Maybe surprisingly, this was my introduction to motW. It is beautiful, distinct, maybe even more experimental than earlier motW. It's a dream that you listen to. No other band could ever accomplish this. Favorite track: An Excerpt From 6,000,000,000,000 Miles Before The First, or, The Revisitation Of The Blue Ghost.

seasonsinthesky Same eye, new lens. Kayo Dot has changed the way motW comes to life but without ruining a thing. Less Larks' Tongues In Aspic, more Islands. And entirely worthy of the legacy. Favorite track: An Excerpt From 6,000,000,000,000 Miles Before The First, or, The Revisitation Of The Blue Ghost.

El_Cuervo It blows my mind that I'd not encountered these guys before now. Gentle, intricate, subtle, dense, all applicable adjectives but none do justice to how wonderful this album is. It invokes the same feeling as Pink Floyd without sounding remotely like them. Favorite track: Laboratories Of The Invisible World (Rollerskating The Cosmic Palmistric Postborder).
